COMMONS, Lucinda Jackson

Pneumonia caused the death of Mrs. Lucinda Commons, 79 of Tangier at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville about 9:30 p.. Monday Feb 17, 1941.  She had been a patient there about 3 weeks with a broken leg when pneumonia and other complications developed.. Mrs. Commons was the daughter of J.W. and Hannah Jackson.  She was born near here on Feb 28, 1861, and her entire life was spent in this community. On June 20, 1880, she married John Commons. Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Cecil Commons of Tangier and Claude Commons of North Terre Haute; five brothers, William and Alvin Jackson, both of Tangier, Carl Jackson, Bristow, Okla; Lerton Commons, also living in Oklahoma; and Logan Jackson, Scotland, Ill; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Bryant, Chicago; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Funeral services were held at the Tangier Church Thursday afternoon at two o'clock. Burial was in Tangier Cemetery with GW Spencer, Kingman, in charge.
